Her love and admiration of the bush was instilled in her from a very early age and in 1995 she found herself in her first role at a game lodge. Since then she has worked at some of the most prestigious lodges in the country and learnt the in’s and out’s, do’s and definitely do not’s along the way from some iconic industry figures.
She brings to Lepogo Lodges her 24 years experience, a wealth of knowledge, passion, professionalism and understanding to ensure that her guests have the most incredible stay.
She also brings her knowledge of astronomy which will add a lovely element of surprise for our guests relaxing under the stunning African night sky at Lepogo Lodges.

Harold comes from the Limpopo Province and is a father of 3. Having started as a butler at a lodge he quickly showed his potential and he was trained up to be a camp manager...
With his wonderful demeanour and professional attitude, he was moved into senior lodge manager within 5 years overseeing 4 lodges. He then moved to a private lodge in the Kruger National Park where he worked as the lodge manager for 10 years.
We consider ourselves very lucky to have Harold join our team at Lepogo Lodges as the lodge manager. Harold has a wonderful personality and nothing is too much trouble for him.
He loves interacting with guests and will ensure your experience is unforgettable.
Thapelo believes he was born into his career - he inherited his passion for cooking from his late grandmother and after meeting one of the great Chefs Zhan Steyn, he started to dream of having his own kitchen one day...
He won 1st place at his culinary college which sent him to England to work at the Fat Duck under the guidance of Heston Blumenthal (Michelin star restaurant) where he learnt immeasurable skills.
He is beyond delighted to be putting those into practice and can’t wait to show his guests his wonderful creations.
His passion for food and flawless service is enormous and he is excited to ensure every guests’ dining experience at Noka is truly memorable. He has also just won the Limpopo Chef of the Year 2019.

This passion has so far led him to work in Indonesia, Madagascar and Honduras in the battle to protect the natural world and he has now joined our team here at Lepogo Lodges.

Hendrie spent his weekends as a child, on his family’s farm close to Lapalala Wilderness. He attended agricultural school and represented his country in hockey...
He qualified as a field guide with flying colours and over the years his passion and knowledge for the bush has become legendary.
His love and enthusiasm for what he does is hard to surpass. He is a keen photographer too and has plenty of tips to share with his guests.
David was born on a farm next door to Lapalala, his father worked on the reserve and David learnt so many skills from him at an early age...
After school, he attended the Makhahalele Security training school and became part of the renowned anti poaching team. David’s desire to work closer to home has brought us an incredible tracker whose skills have been learnt over a lifetime. His ability to spot animals kilometres away is extraordinary.
