The health and well-being of our guests and staff have always been our priority and never more so than now. Whilst we pride ourselves in our general standards of lodge hygiene and cleanliness, in light of the global pandemic and in accordance with WHO advice we have put extra protocols in place to ensure the safest of environments for everyone. As a small luxury wilderness lodge, we offer an experience already well suited to the additional measures.

We are delighted to be able to offer a special Covid rate during these challenging times and we reserve the right to adjust small details of your experience to comply fully with Covid protocols and circumstances.

General Hygiene

  • Handwash, soap and sanitizer dispensers placed throughout lodge.
  • Increased cleaning and sanitation of high touch points.
  • All areas including lounge, dining and fitness areas cleaned after every use.

Dining

  • Option of in villa dining available.
  • Staff to wear masks and gloves when prepping food.
  • All bush dining experiences will be plated.

Villas

  • Villas are sanitised prior to guest's arrival and regularly during stay.
  • Guests will be asked if they would like turndowns.
  • Increased cleaning protocols with focus on high touch areas.
  • Complementary care kit in villas.

Game Drives

  • Vehicle extensively sanitised between game drives and transfers.
  • Option of a private vehicle at an additional charge.

Transfers

  • Our transfer partners will adhere to the strictest sanitation and transport protocols.
  • Guest’s luggage will be externally sanitised prior to being taken to the villa.

Staff Monitoring

  • Staff temperatures are checked daily.
  • Any staff with symptoms will be sent off site until declared Covid-19 negative. Subject to government regulations.

Public Areas

  • A minimum socially distancing interval will be enforced dependent on current governmental recommendations.
  • Staff will not shake guest's hands.

Staff Training

  • All staff have undergone training in new protocols.
  • Masks and gloves to be worn at all times.
  • Strict hygiene protocols to apply to all suppliers.
  • Staff supplied with PPE and hand washing frequently enforced.

Guest Health Checks

  • Pre-travel history to be provided prior to arrival.
  • Temperature check to be taken on arrival and used as a reference point for subsequent daily checks.
  • Guests will be asked for their onward journey contact details.

Medical Assistance

  • Accessibility and proximity to doctors and hospitals.
